My building career started in my youth when I discovered a strong affinity for mechanical tasks. The woods around our home in Illinois were littered with the structures I built. After high school I attended a university in France where I fell in love with the romance of the master builders responsible for the beautiful architecture of the Loire Valley. Returning to the United States I pursued a degree in Political Economic Theory of the Middle Ages, studying how European towns, cathedrals and castles were financed and built. I balanced those studies with classes in sculpture. After college I moved to the Bay Area to pursue building and art.

I currently manage a company of 18 craftspeople building around the Bay Area. We have a five person cabinet shop with a spray finishing facility for the production of custom cabinetry for our projects as the general contractor. I work with many architects and designers and I also design about half the projects our firm does.
