You Have No Idea What You're Missing With Verve Napa Valley

By Jake Levin

T Beller has lived in the Napa Valley region of northern California for over 20 years.

Living in such a hot-ticket part of the country, where the supply for visitors is ample yet can hardly meet the demand, Beller was no stranger to her friends clamoring for winery tours upon their visits.

"Friends always asked me to design winery tours for guests visiting Napa and Sonoma," she said.

Beller enjoyed doing this very much, so she turned her passion into a business about six years ago. Verve Napa Valley was born, where opportunities are created for visitors to see the region's lifestyle the way Beller himself would want to see it: as an insider and a local.

"We hope the take-away from a Verve tour is, 'Wow! I had no idea!'" Beller said. "We want to offer our guests an off-the-beaten-path experience by taking them to places they had no idea even existed."

The wow factor is the backbone of Verve Napa Valley. Beller loves entertaining guests with the secrets of grape growing and wine making, which leaves them to again remark "I had no idea!"

"Our guests' take-away is a deep understanding and appreciation for all things Napa," Beller said.

One-of-a-kind itineraries are customized for Verve's patrons to explore wine country as never before, with their interests in mind.

Verve offers plans for a day of tasting, business retreats, celebrations of any kind, or just a week to get away from it all. Cookie cutter tours aren't on the agenda.

"Everything we do is customized and we learn as much as we can about each guest so that we can fit the experience specifically to them," Beller said. "The entire Verve team is committed to provide the best possible experience for each guest."

Beller has no personal favorite type of tour, which would be a nearly impossible task to decide upon anyways. There are over 500 wineries and tasting rooms in the region, so Beller said what she loves most is matching the experience to the guests' interests and preferences.

This might include a discussion on grape varietals, but it could wind up turning into an art & architecture tour, one of Beller's areas of expertise and a Verve specialty. Cooking techniques are often shared through accomplished chefs, and no matter which path Verve customers venture down, they'll be treated to a wildflower walk, glass in hand, with sweeping views of the Napa Valley.

"We love all of our experiences, and we offer something for everyone," Beller said.

Who had any idea there was this much more to the Napa Valley than simply the wine?
