Strong Entertainment Is Born to Entertain

By Elisha Neubauer

Robert Strong knew early in life that he wanted to be a magician.

Mesmerized by a local magician at the Baltimore Inner Harbor at the impressionable age of 12, Strong made a solemn vow to become the best magician ever. It was a vow he took quite seriously, becoming an award-winning magician later in his life.

"My parents considered therapy, but magic lessons were cheaper," Strong said.

Luckily, Strong's parents got behind the seriousness of his childhood vow and he went on to study through every avenue possible. He attended Tannen's Magic School in New York, followed by Towson University in Maryland. He studied with touring stand-up comedians, Cirque du Soleil choreographers, Ringling Brothers circus clowns, Broadway directors, and world-class jugglers. Strong took every opportunity to expand his craft, becoming so much more than just a magician.

"Thirty-three years later, I still carry with me that sense of wonder and passion for magic that I first experienced as a youngster in Baltimore, but now I am the one doing the entertaining," Strong said.

Strong's passion is evident when you take a gander at his resume. He has been three times voted San Francisco's Best Magician, twice voted San Francisco's Best Comedian, voted San Francisco's Best Performer, and voted San Francisco's Best Prop Comic. He has spoken at six different TEDx Talks and been awarded two Civilian Medallions of Distinction from the US Army. He has also had the pleasure of performing for not one, but two Presidents of the United States in his career.

"Both of them were for staff holiday parties and it was surreal to be in the White House," Strong said. "It was interesting to see the difference in how each administration reacted very differently to my magic show. One was really serious and organized and the other was quick to laugh and be silly."

With more than thirty years of experience entertaining, producing, and consulting for corporate events, hiring Strong Entertainment for your next event is sure to pay off. Strong has the ability to read a crowd and adapt at a moment's notice to create the perfect experience for your guests.

"I was born to entertain," he said.
