What are some of the biggest challenges that people face when they're trying to organize a move?

Not being organized enough, not purging before the move, and taking too much that they can't use or fit. Also, changing move dates can be very costly, especially during peak season.

If you needed to move, what steps would you take to make the process as stress-free as possible?

- Moving items you won't use or can't fit is expensive. If you sort, downsize and remove, you save money, time and energy.
- Talk to your realtor and know what you can afford, what size you're moving to, and get the floor plan to fit the furniture in.
- Closets and storage always become an issue. Measure the linear footage of your existing closet and either remodel to expand and make room, get a storage room, or downsize.

Can you share one of the biggest regrets you've seen people have about moving into a new house?

Not planning appropriately for what will fit. For example, one client didn't realize the new home had no space for an office. Her husband runs a company from home. This was a near disaster until the Changing-Places crew stepped in and created a fabulous office space for him before the move-in.

What are some tips to help homeowners get organized as quickly as possible once they've moved into their new home?
